The most striking property of any skin color is the brightness. Because of very different UV radiation levels on the earth, the human body has created a natural sun protection. It is made out of a black to brown pigments named Eumelanin. It creates the different brightness levels of every skin color.
We have divided the brightness range into 6 main zones, which are Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Deep and Dark. Every brightness level has addionally a specific brighness level number. Level 10 is the lightest and level 100 is the most darkest color what is possible.
